So, here's the part of my summer vacation that I'm willing to share with the world. What a fantastic trip! Quebec City may be the most beautiful city I've ever seen and I can't wait to go back for the Winter Carnival in February 2002. And of course, hockey. I'm amazed at the number of guys in the Quebec Semi-Pro league whose names I recognize ~ I'll be catching games in Laval and Quebec for sure this coming winter. My special thanks to Nathalie for letting me stay with her and showing me around, as well as being a complete sweetheart. Thanks also to Nadia for being so nice and so much fun.
QUEBEC (ST. EUSTACHE, MONTREAL & QUEBEC CITY) - JULY 20-24, 2001
*Coliesee de Laval or the arena in Laval where the junior team used to play and where the Chiefs now play ~ I'll be back during hockey season!
*View of Ontario across the dam in Carillon - if you're smiling, I thought of you when I took this!
*Me, Nathalie & Nadia at Les Sept Chutes
*Me in Quebec City with that damn bucket ~ not pictured in any tourist brochures I'm sure!
*Me & Nathalie on a canon in Quebec City
*Me, Nathalie & Nadia in Quebec City
*Me by a fountain in Old Montreal
*The old Montreal Forum which now is sadly a movie theater ~ but at least the building is still standing. I still remember watching on ESPN as the San Jose Rhinos beat the Montreal Roadrunners for the Murphy Cup in 1995…
*Me with a statue of Maurice Richard - appropriately enough outside the Maurice Richard museum
*An aerial view of the Maurice Richard museum taking while riding the elevator up to the observatory at the Olympic Stadium
*Me in the elevator going up to the observatory at the Olympic Stadium
*Me & Nathalie a top the observatory…
*And finally the observatory
This was a fantastic trip ~ I needed the vacation and I needed to get away from life in general ~ what a great way to do it. Thanks again Nath!
