PSP 201 Homework Page

Welcome! This is the first assignment for the PSP 201 class. Below you'll find a sort of clown figure that I re-assembled using the various selection tools. It looks as though it would just take a few seconds, but it isn't as easy as all that. I had to play around with the tolerance settings in order to select the pieces I wanted (and only those pieces, not the green background!) I'll admit to having polished the image off with a paintbrush a little at the end. But it was just a pixel here and a pixel there. Hope that's OK with my instructor!

The easier part of the homework was to make a graphic with the selection tool set for feathering. Once I made the selection I could then delete the rest of the graphic and add shading. See how it works:

If you're paying attention you'll have noticed by now that I used a different selection to create the background for this page. In this case, the shape was an ellipse instead of a circle. And I chose a different colour as a backdrop, though both colours were picked out of the graphic itself. The laurel leaf divider also came from the original graphic.
