Welcome to my third tables assignment. This is where we get to play with some of the fancy effects that I mentioned in my first homework!
Tables can be created that have a coloured border - instead of that default black one - or a colour inside the cells.
| This is an example of a table with a coloured border... |
| ....And you can see that I can choose the colour of the table's interior too! |
Using a patterned background inside a table is how those lovely layered web sets are put together. I'm not going to do a double or triple layer here, but to give you an idea this block of text is inside a table with a patterned background.
It looks nicer if we have a bit of text so the pattern can repeat itself, so you'll excuse me if I play a little:
| Avoir | Etre | Aller |
|---|---|---|
| J'ai | Je suis | Je vais |
| Tu as | Tu es | Tu vas |
| Il/Elle a | Il/Elle est | Il/Elle va |
| Nous avons | Nous sommes | Nous allons |
| Vous avez | Vous êtes | Vous allez |
| Ils/Elles ont | Ils/Elles sont | Ils/Elles vont |
OK, I think you get the picture - or the pattern, to be more precise. This is a very pretty effect done over large areas. Often there's a combination of patterned tables and coloured tables, nested one within the other. Very pretty!
