How Conjuctions Function

By Fidget

If you think to use a conjunction,

First decide on sentence construction.

A comma before,

If subject is more,

But not if the subject's just one.

((If you want to use a conjunction (such as and, or, or but), try to think of how you want the sentence to go. If it's two would-be full sentences, then put a comma before the conjuction:

They swam with sharks. It was a bad idea.

They swam with sharks, but it was a bad idea.

If there's no subject after your conjuction, no comma.

The sharks ate them up and swam away.
