Incense
For 5000 years magicians have been using incense on their altars. It used to be used to mask the odors of sacraficial animals, to carry prayers to the Gods, and to create a nice environment for humans to meet with Deity.
Specially formulated incenses are burned to attract specific energies to the magician and to aid him or her with their magickal task at hand.
When incense is smoldered in a ritual setting it undergoes a transformation. The vibrations, no longer trappe in their physical form, are released into the environment. Their energies, mixing with those of the magician, speed out to effect the changes necessary to the manifestation of the magickal goal.
Incenses are composed of a variety of leaves, flowers, roots, barks, woods, and resins. There are one-herb incenses that can be burned on a charcoal when needed. Here is a short list of them, and what they could be used for.
