Amber Nicole Benson was born on the 8th of January, 1977, in Birmingham, Alabama.  As a young child, she studied dancing and acting.  She moved to Orlando when she was twelve and stayed there for two years.  Her family moved to LA in California and Amber found work after a year.  She did a film called King Of The Hill.  The film won critical acclaim and Amber herself was nominated for the Fifteen Annual Youth IN Film Awards.  Her other films included Imaginary Crimes, S.F.W, Bye Bye Love, The Crush and the popular teen movie with Seth Green, Can't Hardly Wait, although most of her role ended up being cut. Her television appearences included Jack Reed, Cracker and Promised Land.
								In 1999 Amber filmed two films, The Prime Gig and Hollywood PA. Later on, she won her role on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, as Tara, where she has been for almost three seasons.  Following the death pf her character, Tara in the sixth season episode "Seeing Red", it is unknown whether she will return to BtVS in its seventh season. She now lives in Southern California with her Mom and her dog Penny and cats Benny, Eurythmic and Brittany.  She also has a sister who is four years younger than her who Amber describes as "the coolest person". Things can only get bigger and better for Amber in the coming years.  Her film Chance, which she wrote, stars in and directs is moving along smoothly and she is helping to write some BtVS comics.
