Apprentice of Life
We will now begin your instruction regarding the most dynamic of all spheres, Life. This sphere encompasses the entirety of all living beings, si? Anything from the largest whale in the sea, to the smallest one cell organism that crawls through your body. While patterns composed of other spheres remain static, or are contained flows of magickal energy, things that live draw Quintessence within their own patterns, and return it as they age. When something dies, these Life patterns return to static Matter, another type of elemental sphere that holds non moving streams of Quintessence, si? It may sound complicated, but it is not... where Mind is the embodiment of pure thought, Life is the embodiment of dynamic essence.
I myself am just a disciple in this sphere, my eyes have ever been on creation, rather than existence. But I can say with some certainty that the healing and transmutation powers of this magick element are encompassing... I am living proof, I was made over to look as I am, rather than an old man, si?
I may teach you to the point of healing injuries to yourself, and manipulating simple living patterns that surround you... such as plants and bacteria... as well as taking a closer look into the patterns of others, discerning disease or injury, si? Beyond that, I will not be able to help you... but if your interest in this grows, we will find someone to do so. We will begin with the most basic of rotes, and I will teach you more as time moves forward. The basic principles that allow you to sense life near to you, and divination of sickness within another being.
Life Scan
As always, take your foci out, and hold it out... by now, you should be becoming comfortable with minor weavings, and integrating them into your paradigm, si? Good... now, begin by alter the pattern within yourself... close your eyes, and feel the Life, the blood flowing... it too, has a voice of its own, a melody. It speaks to me of growing and vitality... for you, it may be different, but it is still there, si? Repeat... Ostende nobis Domine, anima... Show us Oh Lord, Life. Now, as before, open your eyes and see life for what it is... do you sense it? Life is everywhere... not only within you and me, but floating within the air, crawling over our skin. Do not be afraid, this life has always been here, si? You are now only perceiving it for the first time. As with Mind, you may let the visions go one at a time... careful to keep your mental shield in place to start... to behold too much life can make you paranoid, si? Let it go now... we will move on.
Prayer of Healing Revelation
Now we will take a closer look at what ails another living being's pattern. You will be able to see what "should" be there, as well as what is alien to that particular pattern, si? Or a better way to term it, hear it... a tone of disharmony within within the melody of growth and vitality that I spoke of before. I have ingested a slow acting, but lethal poison... open your eyes to me, and me alone, instead of perceiving all patterns in the room... hold your foci, and concentrate your will... there are no words of power for this either... as you hear my melody, hum with it... perfect... you will find that one by one, the strands of your tune will fall away of their own will, and your song will grow to match, si? I hear it now... your tone is one of discord, you have isolated the poison that flows within me... no, you did not lose it, I merely healed myself of the toxin... you have succeeded again.
I will show you other rotes as we move along this path.. and remember well, that Life in itself is neither good nor evil... it is a beautiful song within its natural state, just as the tiger who hunts the jungle is beautiful... it has no remorse, no intelligence... your or another's death means nothing, it is the way of things, so this sphere may be used for both good and evil.
