The
Philippines

Between
the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and the South China
Sea rest 7, 107 beautiful tropical islands. The Philippine archipelago
has always been a melting pot of Eastern and Western cultures because
of its strategic location. From majestic Buddhist temples to Baroque Catholic
churches, flea markets to shopping malls, egg noodles to apple pie, taekwondo
to football, the Philippines has them all.
Visitors
arriving in the Philippines will be certainly amazed at the variety
of things they can do while in the country: They can sunbathe at the white
sand beaches of Boracay, climb the towering mountains of Rizal, shop at
the Duty Free stores of Subic Bay, scuba dive the depths of the Philippine
Sea, stroll along the vast expanse of Manila's shopping malls, marvel
at the underground caves of Palawan, trek the Chocolate Hills of Bohol,
tour the Hundred Islands of Pangasinan, ride a vinta (a traditional boat)
in Zamboanga, play golf at Camp John Hay in Baguio or visit the lovely
Pagsanjan Falls in Laguna.
Upon
arriving, the traveler can check-in at the five-star hotels or world class
resorts that dot the country. The Filipino, being one of the most hospitable
and English-proficient Oriental people today, will certainly make the
traveler welcome.
