Chapter 10

As the press confrence started all the questions were directed to Serena. Of course the first question was the same one they had outside.
Serena started to answer, "Six and a half months ago........ I was raped. The child I have been carrying is a result of that rape. I would just like to say thanks to William for being so supportive of me and my decision not to have an aportion or put the baby up for adoption. I think William has something to say now."
"I would just like to tell you that I'm taking on this baby as my own even though it won't be a rightful heir to the throne as we are to be married on the 25th of September, Serena's birthday," he stated.
The crowd gasped, but the reporters kept taking notes and asking questions.
Then the Queen said, "This will be the end of the press confrence. I'm sure there will be many more as the day of the wedding approaches. Thank you." Then the four of them left. As they excited the building more questions were asked, but they just ignored them.
As William and Serena got into their car, Serena told him, "We can't get married on my birthday, eventhough I love the idea."
"Why?" William asked in confusion. He wondered if he had done something wrog by surprising her with the date at the confrence.
"It's my due date silly," she said with a smile.
"Oh, I think we should have it then, you'll look ven more beautiful then you do now, if that's possible. You have such a wonderful glow about you," he said.
With that she kissed him hard, all the way back to her place. As they walked to her appartment William put his arm around, she smiled. He sat her down on the bed.
"Lay down, I won't try anything," he told her. It was 8:30 pm and they were both very tired and the fell asleep.
