| A giant
counterpart to the slight-in-stature Dusty Fog, Mark Counter is a tough cowhand. Like
Dusty, he's an ex-Confederate. Counter was distinguished by his personalized uniform during the Civil War. He served
with Bushrod Sheldon and met Dusty and The Ysabel Kid when they came to bring Sheldon and
his former Confederates home from Mexico where they were working for the Emperor
Maximillian. In addition to Counter's Floating Outfit adventures, Edson has written novels about his descendants who are lawmen in the modern West.
