Description:
1. Execute and coordinate the procurement of a wide range of product materials, major facility and capital purchases. Prepare, negotiate and administer purchase orders.
2. Negotiate prices, terms and quality requirements with domestic and international suppliers for core product materials and services.
3. Develop good relationships with suppliers and maintain high levels of on-time, quality deliveries.
4. Update project plans and purchasing systems, and report status of procurements to internal information users.
5. Resolve delivery, quality or commercial problems with purchases and invoices.
6. Interface extensively with Engineering, Marketing and Supply Management Specialists regarding suppliers' capabilities and performance.

Requirements:

3. SAP, Lotus Notes, word processing and spreadsheet skills.
4. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
5. Working knowledge of commercial law and commercial finance.
6. Analytical skills to perform research and analyze quantitative data to build supplier data base (e.g., cost structure) and identify potential cost savings opportunities (e.g., order quantity, identification of common elements between designs).
7. Planning & organizing skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure that purchase orders are placed and followed up appropriately.
8. Basic product, production processes, and commodity knowledge for the responsible supply segment.
