The easiest answer is finding a good teacher/master.
First, you must have interest in Feng Shui. Well, the fact that you are here should mean you are at least interested to know more.
Second, you need a good master. (WHY? To be explained)
Third, get your basic right. (That is why again I stress getting a good master/teacher or Shi Fu is important)
Forth, commit to memory the important fundamental elementary basic principle theory (He Tu, Luo Shu, Former and Later Ba Gua, Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch) and code of Feng Shui.
Fifth, read more related materials (and able to distinguish the different schools and false teaching) and experience more.
Sixth, apply what you learn to practical use and test it.
Seventh, strive to learn and experience more.
