blank space Learning Feng Shui

A few years back I was perplexed as to how come some schools use purely flying star while some can mix around with methods from different schools.

Just like in gardening, we need to find out which type of plants suit:

1. Alkaline/acidic soil

2. A lot of water/sparingly use of water

3. Best planted in pot/best planted in earth

4. Like plenty of sunlight or prefer shady place

5. Indoor/outdoor

and a gardener will add on to this list a lot of practical advices accumulated from practical experience. (Not forgetting to mention presentation ^_^)

That is at least what I learned so far about FS placement - when, where and how to use certain FS techniques (well, and I learn to read certain sections of a gardening book published in the West, as Malaysia is an equatorial country, not all techniques applied here, but the generally one does. But, that does not mean I would buy only gardening books written in Asia for Asian, I still buy gardening books from the West, just that I need to KNOW HOW to use that knowledge - I guess that is why we call it KNOW-HOW.)
