We will continue to encourage people from all the racial and cultural groups represented in our area to become involved in the Association, to become committee members and to actively contribute in whatever way they can to planning and decision making.
In planning meetings and events we will seek to promote equality of opportunity and good race relations between persons of different racial groups.
In our activities we will seek to ensure open access to disabled members, and all people living in the area we represent, at all our events and meetings.
We intend to ensure that no residents are prevented from participating in the Association activities or receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, religion, ethnic and national origins, sex, marital status, domestic circumstances, sexual orientation, age, disability or class.
At all our open meetings we offer and pay a carers allowance to enable any resident with domestic commitments to attend.
This statement was formally agreed at the A.G.M. on 21st May 1998
