Chapter Thirteen
“Mandy you’re crazy. You’ve seriously lost your marbles! There is no way in hell I’m going to apologize to JC. What would I be apologizing for, anyway? I did nothing to him.”

“But he didn’t know it was a-“

“That doesn’t matter! I shouldn’t have had to explain
jack to him.” Nikki buried her face in her hands. Looking up, she gasped, “Why are you here and where is Mandy?”

“She just shoved me in here. Look, you’re right. I never should have believed Kyle. You’re a gem Nikki… a rare one. And I think Mandy and Matt would like it if the two of us helped them out.
Together.

“Listen to him!” Mandy burst into the room, “You two are some of my best friends. If I don’t have the two of you watching my back… I don’t know if I could do it.”

Nikki groaned, “Kyle is screwing everything up you know that?” JC stared at her, “First he tries to break up my favorite couple, then he tries to break
me and my boyfriend up. Well, now he tried to separate me and JC? That’s not just rotten. Because now… oh mark my words, seriously Manny get a pen, now its personal.”

“The bastard’s goin’ down.”

“Amen brotha!” Nikki high fived him and smiled at her two friends. “Now, how exactly do we go about this?” They exchanged a blank look.

“Damn.”

“He’s gone too damn far.” Danay stomped her way into the room and threw another newspaper into Matt’s face. “I say we flat out
murder the guy.”

Matt stared down at the paper, “What the hell is this?” He read through the article then stared at Danay. “D? What kind of sick joke-“

“Its not. Kyle put it in there.”

“Did you…”

“Yeah I wrote it. But I didn’t write it like
that. When I said I was gay… I meant happy! I’ll kill the guy. He edited that from my damn journal!”

Mandy stared at her from the doorway. “We need to put an end to this before it gets much farther.” She sighed. “We gotta nail this guy!”

“I still say we kill him.”

“As much satisfaction as that would bring,” Nikki walked into the room with JC, “I think we have a better idea.”

Hours later, Mandy stood shaking her head at Nikki, “I don’t understand you.”

“Mandy, do you want to get rid of this moron or not?”

“You know I do. But will doing this solve anything?”

Nikki shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know. But I hope so.” JC stepped next to her, ‘You look good.”

“Thanks. You ready to pull this off? It won’t be easy.” He grinned, “But you make one
hot senior citizen, Nikki.”

“Oh as do you baby.” She giggled, “But for God’s sake George, straighten your tie!”

“Oh and you Betty? Your specs are on crooked.”

Mandy rolled her eyes, “God help me if you two
ever get hitched.”
