| "I'm bored." "D, you're always bored." Mandy said lazily, as she lounged on the couch. "That's true." She sighed, "But I'm bored." "I get the point, Danay." "Soooo.... let's do something." She jumped up from the foor and ran into the kitchen. Mandy rolled her eyes, "Dare I ask where you're going?" When she got no response she stood and followed her. "Oh lord Danay, really is this neccessary?" She stared as Danay started to pack food into a large picnic basket. "Whatever happened to tv dinners?" "Completely over-rated. Now come on!" "NOW where are we going?" "The backyard!" "You're kidding." But Danay did indeed lead Mandy into the backyard and set up a picnic blanket under the willow tree. Mandy settled herself on the blanket, "What are you on?" "I'm high on life Mandy, high on life." Danay sat eating her sandwhich in silence, and then hopped up, "I"m bored again." "Oh no." "Let's go for a run!" "A run?" Mandy questioned as Danay pulled her to her feet, "D, are you sure you feel alright?" "Of course." Danay took off on a steady run around the yard, with Mandy at her heels. Suddenly Danay stopped, and Mandy ran straight into her, lunging both of them into the pool. Danay treaded water and Mandy came up, sputtering. "Oh my GOD this is cold." "I'm bored again." "Nu-uh." Danay jumped out of the pool and ran for the car. Mandy stayed in the pool, "I'm not coming Danay, I refuse to get in a car with you." She shrugged, "Your loss." She started the car and took off down the road. Mandy shook her head and walked into the house to get cleaned up. Later, as she sat watching the tv, Danay came in with a guy mandy recognized as a lifeguard from the beach. "Uhhh D... what's he doing here?" Danay pulled Mandy aside, "I was bored..." "This I know." "And so was he, so we decided to go out tonight, isn't that great!" Danay was obviously still hyper, and she ran out of the house, with the guy behind her, trying to catch up. Mandy's eyes were wide, and she plopped down on the couch again as Nikki came walking in. "I'm bored." "Go tell it to the lifeguard." Mandy said bitterly. Nikki watched as the girl stomped out of the room, "God, what's HER problem?" |
