The pictures along the border are/were famous actresses that helped to shape the stereotyped mold of modern women.  The stereotypes are produced for the media/cinema world.  Did you know that approximately 73% of women claim to be offended by sexist portrayals on television, but only 8% complain to the company/business in charge?  Are women afraid of change?  Or do they become so used to sexism that it becomes invisible?

Commercials
Television commercials are the most widespread form of cinematic sexism.  Commercials portray beautiful people advertising products that are
supposedly going to make you look more beautiful.  Although women have succeeded at gaining varied roles in commercials, there is still apparent sexism that reinforce sexist attitudes in society.

Film
Women in the film industry are, more often than not, beautiful but smart.  However, the characters that women play tend to be child-like and simpleminded.  True, many sexist roles have declined, but many have increased.  In recent films, there is more female nudity and prostitution, both of which would NEVER have been acceptable fifty years.

Televised Sports
He shoots, he scores...he dominated the athletic world, at least the televised athletic world.  It's a fact, men's sports take precedent over women's sports.  Recently women's sports have been granted more money but don't hold your breath about seeing women's volleyball, basketball, or softball on major networks like NBC and ABC.
