Cardinal Rule #1:  SHOP around and compare pricing

Cardinal Rule #2:  Look for a BBB logo (better business internet logo)

Cardinal Rule #3:  Nothing is really for FREE!, there is a cost for a things. (now love crazed niece would say "love is free", but experience has showed me that Love costs a whole lot more than you think!)

Cardinal Rule #4: Brand or No name Brand. 
This is a tough discussion: Take one blinds from two vendors (ex Hunter Douglas and NoName Brand). The noname brand is 1/2 the price of the Hunter Douglas blind. This is like a choice between a two can of peas in your local supermarket. The name brand can of peas and the noname supermarket brand. They both come from the same source but the packaging is different. After 34 years in the trade, my choice is the noname brand. As long as a the warranty and customer service is the same, I'll take the one's that cheaper!

One caution: Recently certain retailer have touted their own personal brands of window covering. Be warned they are not making these blinds, they are selling them from a fabricator under their own name. The point of doing this??...... I have no clue, is it any cheaper...nope!
