Introduction to WINDSPIN - Turbine Roof Ventilators
Factories, Warehouses, Workshop & even community halls are frequently constructed without any efficient natural ventilation system for the benefits of the occupants. As stale & hot air will not disperse by itself, the opening of the doors & windows are not sufficient to provide ventilation in most of the buildings.
Unlike doors, windows & exhaust fans WINDSPIN - turbine roof ventilators draw air upwards creating convection current & in the process they extract stale air together with the air which has become hot as a result of the building exposure to sunlight & heat generated from manufacturing equipments. As the stale hot air is extracted it is replaced by fresh air at ambient temperature entering through doorways & openings thus completing the convection current cycle & the internal temperature is improved through that process. In Winter & monsoon it also extracts moisture from the building, which results in preventing rusting & damage to the structure because of occupied moist air inside the building. Needless to say, fresh air makes people more alive & vital while stale air makes people feel lethargic & disinterested. On hot days the movement of air
over the body causes evaporation to occur which is the natural way to cool down & helps prevent moderate heat stress.
WINDSPIN - turbine roof ventilators also prevent condensation by extracting condensation forming air, & in case of fire will extract smoke & fumes, preventing the building from becoming smoke filled & assisting the occupants to escape to safety.
