Yesterday was the
25th anniversary (I think) of Elvis Presley's death, and me and my parents watched
a documentary on Graceland. My dad was like "We've got to go there, we've got
to go there" while me and my mom went: "Oooh, that is sooo pointless. My gods...
these people should get a life..."
Everything Elvis ever got is stored in like five huge warehouses and they clean
it everyday and even have a fireproof, thiefproof, waterproof, floodproof, tornadoproof
and presumably alienproof building where they keep stuff like gifts to Elvis
and pictures and crap like that. They even keep and mantain normal office chairs
he bought!
That, to my opinion, is soooo stupid. Why don't they auction some of the stuff
off and donate to charity? So much money! And next to Graceland there's this
apparent 'Heartbreak Hotel' or something like that, that's supposed to be a
tribute to Elvis but to me they're just cashing in on his fame.
Let him die in peace, that's what me and my mom said. Save a bit of his stuff,
and for gods sake get rid of the rest.
