Use safety when working with wind energy equipment

This equipment can be hazardous!

Wind energy requires great attention to safety. Since the essential part of a wind turbine is a rotating blade mounted above the ground, there is a significant risk. These risks can be limited by preplanning and carefulness. The standard method of risk analysis uses insightful consideration of what can go wrong and how it might happen. Let's consider how one may be injured. One could fall from the tower (or ladder), or the tower could fall on someone. The rotor could strike someone, either on the tower or after it has come loose.
