Frances and Bolen were married for more than 63 years. Frances has been sick for several year when the webmaster spoke to him in 2000.

Bolling was a vetran of World War II. He owned and operated Heirloom Baby Bed Furniture Company in Galax, VA. He designed the Easy Lift Baby Bed. A Member of the First Baptist Church in Pulaski, the Elks Lodge and Thornspring Golf Club. He was an avid golfer.

He is interred at Highland Memory Gardens.

The only known child of Frances and Bolling is Richard Bolling who predeceased his father.
