He was called Robert. When inducted into the Army, he was described as being 6 feet 2 inches in heighth, weighted 155 pounds, had brown hair and grey eyes.

Robert was an upholster and later a director for Vaughn Funeral Home. He played the guitar and was known for dancing the Floy Joy to Flat Foot Floogie.

Robert had special memories of a snow storm on sunday, 16-Mar-1932. He served in the Army during World War II. He was living with Uncle Bob and taking care of the store when drafted. He had only 3 days to take care of his affairs and had to sell the store for $10,000. He was wounded in battle - seeing action at Metz in France and at the Battle of the Bulge.

Ruth taught the piano and organ in public school and privately. She was her church organist for more than 40 years.

Robert and Ruth's children are:
1. Sharon Marlor,
2. Lola Leslie who married an Isaacs-Vaughn,
3. Patricia "Patty" Lucy who married a Reynolds, and
4. Kem Alexander.
Leslie is working on her phd in music.

Robert was a resident at Waddell Nursing Home at the time of his death. He is interred in the Felts Memoria Cemetery.
