Some references to her are as Naomi. DA was away from home when she was born and the neighbors suggested names which the doctor duly recorded. DA didn't like the names and called her Norma Alice. As an adult she was surprized to discover her birth certificate listed her as Martha Naomi Alise.

Norma still works as a secretary. Robert retired after 52 years as a commercial diver. He drove the tour bus when they took a trip to Alaska. They travel and follow the national and state campground circuit.

Robert and Norma's children are:
1. Robert Daniel (15-Nov-1951), Danny is married to Donna and they have six children and 12 grandchildren including 2 sets of twins. Danny works in the last furniture factory in Galax and has a sheep farm. Donna owns a hair salon.
2. Tony Brent (29-Mar-1959) Tony is retired from the State Highway Dept. His daughter, Caici attends Old Dominion U. in Norfolk and son, Cody, his home from the marines after tours in Hati, Japan and the Phillipines.
3. Jeanne Elizabeth (22-Jun-1959) Jean, a graduate of Emory & Henry College with majors in voice and piano, is married to Steve. She teaches voice and piano classes and helps her husband in his business. They are avid animal lovers.
