Pierre was born in France? A Hugneot, Pierre fled to Alsace on the Rhine when Catholic Louis XIV revoked the edit of Nantes in 1685.

Pierre had at least two children:
1. Jacob Forney (born about 1721 and died in 1806).
2. There is reference to an older brother of Jacob who lived in Philadelphia. There was most likely an elder son who inherited Pierre's estate and title.

Any information about Pierre or his family would be sincerely apprectiated. Family legend is that he was a Count and that his family home was later acquired by Voltare and is currently known as Voltare's home.
