A Traditional Chinese Gateway | |

Though basically a Chinese design, this stands as a special multicultural gateway. Not only is it multilingual with Chinese, Vietnamese, English, and Khmer, but it also has Australian icons — kangaroos and koalas. The words are quoted from the founder of the Republic of China, Dr. Sun Yixian. On the other side of the gateway are words from a former president of Taiwan, an indication of pro-Taiwan sentiment in this community. |

Inscribed onto the four columns are two
pairs of poetic verses of encouragement (translated):
1. As survivors from the angry seas we shall live together in harmony. We have come to the west in unity and have given this land prosperity. 2. All are brothers upon this earth, no matter what tribe or country of birth. Five continents are but one land, no matter where on this earth we stand. |

On the other side of the gateway,
there are two other pairs of poetic verses of encouragement (translated):
3. Though a woe, yet a blessing, as we seek refuge here. We have come, let's settle down, and live without fear. 4. Enjoy the freedom as we see the good land so dear. Unite the East and West, and have a new world here. |
