"We must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight!"

- Patrick Henry

This long and inane ordeal has gone on far too long. We must band together and show that the public, the CD-buying public, is a force to be reckoned with. Ask yourselves this question: Why should I pay $15, (or for that matter $20) United States dollars for a piece of plastic that costs an estimated 25 CENTS to produce, with an average of ONE decent song on it. Ask yourselves why. If we are paying $20, then shouldn't we at least have a full collection of worthwhile songs? Isn't it stupid to buy just for that one song? The music industry is scratching their heads, wondering why people would rather get that one good song for free than paying $1 apiece for the rest of the crappy ones.

Fight for the Music

"I believe that the music industry (RIAA) is a bloated and outdated corpse of a corporate model that is extremely expensive to maintain - kind of like caring for a dead whale. It brings to mind Rome, Greece, &c. - the rulers grow fat; the empire crumbles."
D. Gould, 10-24-02

I think I'll stop now; hopefully you get the idea.
...I am looking toward establishing a shaky .mp3 news website, among other things. I will soon be contacting other .mp3 news site-runners to help them, and to give myself some experience in the writing of the genre...Being in school, this will not be a quick n' easy venture...but, I will persevere...
