With a year off of VHA hockey the season is just around the corner from starting up again. GM/HC switched teams from Philadelphia to Detroit bringing along his old roster. "Well Detroit has always been a favorite city of mine and I think we can contuine our success over here in Detroit, Michigan."

The headline of this upcoming season is the slew of rookies coming into the league. Detroit has some very talented rookies in Hamhuis, Roy, Vorobiev, Hudler, Ballard, and Ruutu leading the pack. "We are happy about the upcoming season just to see how our rookies do. Hamhuis and Ruutu are looking to get starting positions with the other 4 fighting for positions."

Last season as the Flyers, GM/HC Keith Meades team was put out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference Finals against rivals Carolina Hurricanes. "Yes, we lost to a solid team with Iggy and Tkachuk leading the team but with our young team I thought we did very well against them. We beat Montreal who on paper is a better team but our young team fought hard to pushed onto the Conference Finals."
