MEET OUR STAFF

Jennifer Klippenstein: Instructor

Hi, my name is Jennifer Klippenstein. I am teaching Grade 11 and 12 Transactional English, Grade 11 Academic Writing, Family Studies Grade 12, Grade 12 EAL For Academic Success, World Issues Career Exploration and Grade 12 Western Civilization. I am a graduate of Brandon University and a former Lady Bobcat basketball player. I have taught Junior High for all my teaching contracts, so this is a real treat working with students who actually want to be here and are eager to complete their courses. I am married to Charles, (10 years on August 2) and the mother of two children, Austin (age 6) and Julie (age 4). We live in Altona where my husband works for Bunge, a seed crushing plant. I enjoy reading novels and my favorite TV shows are CSI and Amazing Race (where I can live vicariously through the people who actually get to travel to exotic places). I also enjoy watching movies. The Notebook is one of my favorites. My all time favorite movie is An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I also enjoy doing cross-stitch and I coach basketball. I teach basketball skills to children in grade 4 – 6 for one hour a week for the Town of Altona. It is a lot of fun watching eager future NBA stars strut their stuff.

I look forward to working with you at the Centre.

Susan Crawford-Young: Instructor

I am teaching all the Grade 11 and 12 Math and Science courses. I live on a farm near Manitou and have 3 adult children. My son Andrew is attending red river College in Winnipeg this year. My daughter Nancy is studying diabetic neurons at St. Boniface Hospital and my other daughter Janet has just graduated from Biosystems Engineering and Education from the University of Manitoba. I love teaching and studying science, along with my artwork. My farm near Darlingford has good pottery clay on it and I enjoy drawing and painting farm scenes.
