ROOTSWEB QUILTING-L CALENDAR BLOCK SWAP

With an extended due date of May 10, 2001 Cyber-Bee, Tam Dolton, organized a Calendar Block Swap.  Everyone selected the month they wanted to complete and enough Bee's were interested so that Tam had 2 groups, though some Bee's participated in both groups.   The rules were simple - make 12 blocks representing the month you chose and make the blocks 12" finished - send them to Tam by the due date.

Blocks started arriving in their new homes  by May 21 amid exclamations of delight!!!  The blocks were exceptional!  Every participant outdid themselves in creativity & fabric selection!

Okay, I now had 12 beautiful blocks - what to do with them???  While strolling around JoAnn's (one of most Quilters favorite haunts, <G>) It suddenly hit me - Do the blocks in an Attic Windows style!!!!  The following pictures are my 12 blocks pinned together as Attic Windows!!!  I kinda like them, <G>

Note that the colors aren't quite right - the left frame is a dark blue on blue and the bottom frame is a light blue.
