Day Ten: August 13th Sunday: The Day of the new Captain and another day in Fredrickhaven. In order to pass our competent crew we have to go for a little row, so this moring we all learn to pull! We get shore leave at 13:00hrs but everywhere is closed except for the bars, Europeans don't seem to get Sunday opening. Eventually we find a supermarkwt that is open but even that shuts at 14:30, it's really hot today so everybodies buying drinks. The place is quite nice really. The Tower Eveybodies having a game of football on the shore next to the ship, far too much hard work for me. Me And Alice Sunbathe We have a quick briefing, we aren't leaving tonight as the new, old captains flight out has been delayed. However it might be a 06:00hrs departure tomorrow so it's a 00:00hrs curfew. I'm with Alice untill she goes on watch at about 23:00hrs, so I head back to the bar where I just saw everybody else. However on the way to this bar I spy Camilla, looking slightly lost, then I see why, behind her is Andy, and he's carying a massive bench on his back. "I'm taking this back to the ship. He says, so I grab an end and give him a hand. Then I head off to the bar. Get there about 23:30, I order a jug, and drink that. Me and Fletch Drinking as usual Alice and Flecth are collecting Glasses so I put two in my pockets, and carry the Jug which still has the remains of my pint left in it. We head off to the chippy. They'll not serve us in the chip shop, claiming that they have no chips left. As we head back to the ship we head back past the bar. The barman comes running out "I need my glasses, wait a minute!" so I down whats left in the jug and give him that, then put my hands in my pockets to hide the two flute glasses in them! I get away with it. I give an astonished Fletch a glass (He had to give his back.) and give the other one to Alice. We get back just in time. We sit down on the bench and notice another addition. Opposite the ship is a cannon, again some rather tipsy lads had rolled it down to the ship, we all take photies with us next to it. The Cannon's there somewhere, honest! Then it's off to bed. We'll be heading home in the morning.
