Chinese lunar Calendar has been used by the Chinese people for more than 4000 years. They use 12 animal symbols to represent 12 years. Each 12 years is a cycle. And every sixty year is a major cycle. Chinese new year starts on the first day of the first month of Chinese Lunar Year usually it's new Moon. The celebration usually last for 15 days. In China, it’s called the Spring Festival. The traditional celebration including eating Dumplings on new years eve and blustering lots of fireworks throughout the night. The celebration ends on the 15th. day - the Lantern Festival.
