Taken from the last journal entry of Zdreni Shadowmaster, Zouijin Karr;

"It is the last day of my apprenticeship. I am one of the few survivors
of the rigorous program; very few of the opening class had the endurance
to last this long, the pure will needed to become one of the Dark, one of
the Zdreni. Our shadowy organization is behind much of what goes on in the
world, even if we are not seen, nor heard - of course, I, like many of my
classmates, was only in it for the money and prestige. I wanted to kill,
most of all.

Death is grim and stalks mercilessly, in these shadowed tunnels. Many of my
fellows were stabbed by their own classmates - I would be lying, truly, if I
said I did not join in a few. Only a very small portion may win the coveted
title of a Zdreni Darkblade, the first rank in their secretive order.
Myself, I was a spellcaster and thief, both of some renoun; used to getting
by more on my wits then on any graces or chance of luck. Devilish, I
was.

The last day. It seems like an eternity, and as I write this I doubt
anyone will ever read it. I feel a sense of elation, a sense of pride, of
apprehension, nervousness. Above all I am afraid of the future. For I hold
in my hands now the item that could change the world.

I stole it, gentle readers of this journal, from the very desk of Headmaster
Rischler, the stern, steel-faced taskmaster of the apprenticeship program.
It was a scientific venture by a party of gnomes, I overheard, while
scrubbing the floor outside their door. There was an attack on the building
- Minotaurs, I later learned, raiding the nearby village outside. In
the ruckus, while the headmaster was battling with a particularly ferocious
specimen, I simply grabbed the item - a set of bracers in the shape of
coiled serpents - and ran. I've been hiding since. I also managed to
grab a pile of paper detailing, it seems, the creation of these things.
Perhaps I can sell them for a tidy profit.

Until next day, Journal. I hear footsteps approaching and cannot write
longer.
               --Zouijin Karr

P.S. I have copied the blueprints to this journal for later study:

-- 5 four-headed snake whips (for the main body)
-- 100 malevolus darts (scales and joints)
-- 4 soul spheres (serpent's eyes)
-- 2 serpent hearts
-- 4 balls of crackling energy (magical component I presume)

The recipe decrees 'mix these and ye can create a "zdreni coiled
feathered serpents bracer'"

Note: the ingredients are a definite challenge to acquire (crackling
energy balls are found at the end of halls of mercy...) and the -2 max
strength really offsets the fact that it's got charges of disarm. If
the disarm is a no-go, I'd gladly change it to charges of level 55 poison
instead (level 55 because 1. it's hard to land in the first place, and
2. it IS 2 rounds of lag..)

Treasure Hunter Coin

Clue Text:
The {rT{Yr{reasu{Yr{re {WH{Cunt{We{Cr{x's have long sought after the
greatest treasures known to man, yet the greatest they've ever found was
made by one of their own. This treasure was the infamous "treasure hunter
coin" a magical coin that was made from the merger of some magic coins,
a diamond using the heat of a fire opal.

Ingredients:
3 X Magic Coin (GBH)
2 X Diamond (Midgaard)
1 X Fire Opal Gem (Hell)

Identify:
Object 'Treasure Hunter Coin' is type money, extra flags magic.
Weight is 0, value is 0, level is 35.
Affects hp by -50.
Affects wisdom by 2.
Affects intelligence by 2.
Affects dexterity by 2.

Reasoning:
-name: because i wanted somthing to comemorate the treasure hunter
guild.
-type: because no one (to my knowledge) has made money items with
effects before because usually you would have to pick them up which turns
them into gold. Since craft places the item directly into your inventory (i
tested  this by loading it in a copy of rom 2.4 by loading it directly into my
inventory), i thought it would be a good chance to make somthing unique.
Also treasure hunters and money sort of go together.

-Ingredients:
--Magic coins are in there because the coins are the only items on the
eqlist that seem to fit with being melted into a coin. (hunks of gold
arent laying around on redemption)
--Diamonds are in because they are pure and expensive.
--Fire opal is in just because otherwise itd be too easy to make and i
wouldnt be able to put soo much gold in it but easy enough that it is
still worth getting the item for gold running.
-Level: I wanted it to be low enough that the affects it gave would be
useful for levelling but it was too good to put it at level 0 like i
originally intended.
-Material: Its a gold coin -duh

-Attributes:
--The +2 dex is because there is no +max items carried, but dex has
basically the same effect and treasure hunters collect things so
carrying more is good.
--The +2 int and +2 wis are because you gotta be smart to find
treasures (like on relic hunter or indiana jones or tomb raider) and also
makes it into a useful levelling item/ mage class equipment.
--The -50 hp is because it needed a drawback (a big one) and i felt
that treasure hunters should be quick on their feet and smart but they
werent made for combat. So lowering hp seemed like a good drawback to use.
--The 5000 gold. I wanted this item to be useful in gold running but it
couldn;t give you too much gold or it would never get made. It seemed
that 5k was a decent amount of gold yet not overly so.
--The 0 silver. It is supposed to be made of gold so having silver in
it wouldn't make much sense.

Back at the beginning of the ages, Leucareuth, an ancient and wise elf,
ordered a secret gathering of the elves.  Their purpose was to create a
piece of equipment that would help their order achieve a higher understanding
and control over their magical powers.  The elves spent years
studying, and working to create their masterpiece for this age.  Many
attempts were made, each with slightly more success, but it always
ended in a spectacular explosion of failure.  Many of the elves began to lose
faith in their great leader, and they left the project one by one, saying
success was impossible.  Leucareuth toiled on for years and years, and
eventally it dawned on him, there was a way...  He called a meeting of the elves, to
unveil his creation.  The night before the unveiling, after many days
of preparation and meditation, Leucareuth came back to the lab and took
his almost complete creation to the gathering place, and performed the
final step...  When the elves returned the next morning,  they found naught
but a orb lying on a pedestal, glowing a pale blue.  Leucareuth was not in
sight.  The elves gathered round the orb.  Gently it was lifted, and a blinding
flash of blue flame came forth.  A hush fell over the elves, and as
they listened, they could faintly make out the sound of Leucareuth's voice
in the air: "My work is finished, as is my purpose.  I haved poured my soul
into this, our greatest creation, so that all may be enlightened, and new
understanding may come to this world..."

A long time ago before the ages of Bosco and Selina there was a very
powerful Mystic who could control a whole country by uttering one word.
She would toy with her servants but alas, she needed a challenge in her
life. She could control the world, but what about outside of the earth? Like
the sun. She tried every single magical spell that she knew to try to
capture the sun under her control. She then realized that she may need to
sacrifice things to the sun for it to be under control. The Mystic sacrificed
populations of continents to the sun, but to no avail. Her servants
thought she was crazy and they thought it would be impossible to control
something as big as the sun. The Mystic continued to think of ways to control
this uncontrollable object. She tried many different things in many
different ways and  when she came to the idea of holding certain items in her
hands while screaming towards the sun. While she did this, she could feel
some sort of raw power generate to her from beyond, she liked the power.
Thus, she tried many combinations of equipment but nothing seemed to bring
the full force. With different pieces of equipment she could feel more
power home to her, so she tried to concentrate on those items. When the
mystic held 2 swords, a Crown of Command, 5 beautiful gems, a floating sphere
and a bracelet the power flowed through her, then with an enormous flash she
disappeared with all the items leaving only a very small replica of the
enormous sun.

Proposed items:
Corpse of Ra - Olympus
Two sun swords - Olympus
Crown of Command - Crown of Command
5 amethyst gems - Graveyard
A soul sphere - Fires of Dis
A Bracelet of delusions - Divided Souls

+2 con

like give it a charge of sanctuary, or heal, or maybe more +stats.

Background:
In the years after the dragon wars, there was still fear that the
dragons may one day return and the races kept vigil on their northern
neighbour. It was rumoured that the great troll wizard Gargnath retreated
back to his tower after Selina's great victory, and began preperations for the
dragons he knew would return. He discovered many strong magicks, and
taught them to those who were skilled, and would defend against the dragon
horde. He also developed powerful weapons before and after the war, such
as the Tome of the Gods. When he experimented with runic magick, he stumbled
on a combination that granted great protection to the bearer, though at the
cost of some of his power. He kept these runes hidden beneath his robes,
scrawled across the bandolier he wore to hold his spell components. Upon his
death, many of his treasures were lost, and the bandolier was one of them.

Since he has a statue, perhaps have it tell what area/item to search
for the clue?

The Marid Maurader

Long ago, the Ancient race of the Marid use to be plentiful among the
seas. They were well mannered beings that would help sailors cross the deep
unchartered depths of the Sea. However, Bosco did not like these Marid, he
was afraid that they would lead followers to the Land of Dominia, where they
would worship Selina, instead of him. Bosco being greedy, sent many
creatures and men to wage war on the Marid. The Marid fought a heroic
battle on the Island of Terecele (Ter E sea el) The war was long, but in the
end the Marid could not withstand an army driven by a god of Greed. The
last Marid to fall to the depths of the sea was the King of All Marids, Sintoral
Commander of the Sea.

In his last dieing efforts, he threw his weapon, forged by Selina into
the Sea where the finder of Dominia would find it, and carved into the
blade was the Directions to Dominia. Sadfully, the finder of Dominia was never
truly known and the sword had been lost for ages....untill now.

Jias:

I believe I good idea for a new craft item would be a dagger called the

Bitter Vengeance, it's background is based on the story from Baskerville,

and how the villagers would not help Drokus free his Daughter from the

caved-in well at the west end of the village.

The story goes that after Drokus' final entry into his diary on the Day of Thunder,

10th month of Futility, he plotted his revenge on the citizens of Baskerville who

did not help him clear the rubble from the well to save his daughter Emily. As a

form of revenge he, with the kennel master Tyler, changed the dogs that Drokus

owned into horrible vicious beasts that would kill and terrorize the villagers of Baskerville.

However, as a more brutal form of retribution, Drokus had created this dagger

(or possibly other type of weapon, but Dagger seems best) to kill the villagers

with his own hands.

The recipe is contained further in the Diary (aka, the recipe should be located in the

diary in the desk is Drokus' Family chamber. It should include his family ring, as a

symbol that it is part of the Drokus family. I'm not sure about other requirements

because I am not very familiar with the crafting system or item requirements. But this

is my idea for the craft system, I hope it is useful.

I think there should be a vampiric or a souldrain flag, or both on it, and it

should also be anti-good since it's purpose is so evil. I guess it could be either

dull or sharp which would make it a more painful death. dull would bludgeon

much better, and sharp would pierce much better, so those woudl be good

additions...he he he, ok ok, I don't know very much about the stats for it, so

it's really more up to you to decide that.

Background story: Legendary, they say, was Amroth Cuthalion's ability to rally an army into
battle. He was said to have been able to take any band of misfits and have them battle
ready within days. With this ability, he led many a successful raid against the foes of his
land. His most notable conquest was that of Thalos, now known as Old Thalos. It is said that
after many battles between his kingdom and that of Thalos, his forces were wearing quite thin,
while the forces of Thalos were taking little casualties due to various tactical advantages.
It became quite clear to Cuthalion that they had to storm Thalos to force their forces to
retreat and defend. So, as legend says, he gathered all the troops he had, and hired every
mercenary he could find for the attack. Within days, he had the army battle-ready, and they
stormed Thalos. Despite being outnumbered 3 to 1, Cuthalion's army decimated the forces
defending the city, and Thalos was forced to withdraw it's army to protect the city, thus
securing his land's safety for the time being. Unfortunately, Cuthalion was killed in the
attack on Thalos. Once killed, the necromancers in Thalos performed a gruesome ritual in
an attempt to secure Cuthalion's legendary leadership abilities for use by their own warlords.
Unfortunately for them, it was stolen shortly after it was created, and has remained lost for
centuries... until now.

Rationale for flags, etc.: This item was designed to give warrior classes the ability to
call creatures... perhaps for hall breaks and such. This is why it was flagged warrior only.
Also, to balance it for the ability to call creatures, negative modifiers for str, hit and dam
were added. The noremove and no_uncurse flags were added so that the warrior couldn't just
take off the item after calling the creatures he needed. In keeping with that statement, it
was also made to not be a float, held, wielded or ring item so that it could not be removed
by any convenient means, making the most simple means of removal dieing (once dead, the
summoned charmies would no longer follow the wearer).

Note: I realize that I do not mention the
kingdom of Amroth Cuthalion. Future elaboration is
planned.

hehehe, we need another +int item as there are 2 +wis items
any kind of +dex item would overpower alot of people.
any kind of +str item would do similar.
any kind of +wis item would bring the possible max wis
up to 29/30, unless you witheld the item from mage/clerics
but why would a warrior/thief need +wis, seriously
so +int is a good enough idea. cleric thief and warrior
because you could get elf mages running around with 28 int
or elf enchanters running around with 27.
i like this idea because the class which will find this
item most effective will be a cleric class, and the -30mana
probably hampers them more than the thieves or warriors.
