1/48 Airfix Hawk Mk 108 Aidy Abdullah

Hawk Mk. 108 M40-06 No.6 Skn TUDM Kuantan

This is the Airfix 1/48 Hawk 100 built as an RMAF Mk 108 using VFA Productions decals. Wing fences were scratchbuilt, clear part for the nose sensors were replaced and flaps were lowered as per kit instructions.

The poor kit seats were replaced with resin ones from Airwaves, and the bombs came from a Hasegawa weapons set. The AIM-9 came from the kit. Gunze H335 was painted for the body colour and flat white for the landing gears. The whole plane was given a Raw umber oil wash and finished with a light coat of Gunze Super-Clear Semi Gloss.
