What is Islam?

I hope you are interested to know some thing about the third and last "version" of monotheism -the belief in a unique God-.

God (Allah) sent a lot of prophets along human history. Since prophet Adam –peace of Allah upon him- , but for sorrow people gradually changed their believes.

One of the most known prophets was Moses (Mosa) –peace of Allah upon him-, how was sent by Allah to return Israelites and Egyptians to believe in Allah as a single God and to worship him alone, the religion Judaism appeared, but after some time Israelites disbelieved when they changed the holy book of Torah that Allah gave, and they claimed unacceptable descriptions about God and unethical stories about prophets.

God sent a lot of prophets to Israelites but Israelites killed a lot of them, one of the most known prophets who was sent to them is Jesus (Esa'a) –peace of Allah upon him-, Allah reinforced Jesus –peace of Allah upon him- by a lot of miracles and by the Bible, again disbelievers tried to kill Jesus –but God protected him and took him to heaven until a specific time-, for sorrow the holy book of Bible had been forgotten and a lot of books talking about Jesus life have been written by good and bad people, these books were named bibles although any of them is not God's speech. Christianity spread quickly between Palestinians, and in Middle East and Europe.

But for sorrow with no trusted holy book a lot of conflicts appeared, believing in three gods spread, few centuries and all bibles talking about monotheism-except Barnabas bible- were burned.

God then sent the last prophet called Mohammed-peace of Allah upon him- reinforcing him with a lot of miracles and the holy book of Quran. Islam appeared and spread quickly.

Fortunately God prepared situations and people who will take the responsibility of protecting Islam and Quran for ever. So there is no need to send another prophets any more, but Muslims have to take the responsibility of teaching Islam and giving every human the chance to chose his beliefs freely.
