Hey 112, I don't know if you should see this, but since it is found in several places for free on the internet, here it is: Click here to see what "it" is. I promise nothing. Yeah, only 6 more days of classes, and 5 days of finals! I'm just about to the point where I say, "Screw it. I don't care any more." But then I remember I paid like $4000 for this semester alone, and I remind myself to close it down to the end. "I know I oughta feel guilty about something, I just can't figure out what it might be." I really like that line. I've tried, unsuccessfully I might add, several times to incorporate it into many things. I'm just guessing, but I think the Packers would like a mulligan on that game in Philly. While their at it, why not take a mulligan on the game their last January as well? That's a s far into it as I can go. Any more analysis is just to depressing. Who am I supposed to root for if the Packers struggle? The Bucks? Nice wish, although they are in the Eastern Conference. Is it wrong to thoroughly enjoy watching the Vikings lose? Gotta love the remake of the song "Convoy" by Paul Brandt. Come on, its "Convoy"...its awesome regardless of who is singing it or when. The best all-time trucking song. Roger that. 10-4. Just thought I'd mention that I am putting my cd-coaster to good use again tonight. Ordered pizza tonight, so I had a good reason. Last night there was football, so it got used then too. By the way, I know most of you didn't care for my suggestion that gravy is good on pizza, but this one is even better. I used to laugh at people who put ranch dressing on their pizza crust, but I found that Blue Cheese Dressing is great for that. It was discovered by accident (as all great discoveries are. If you were looking for it, it couldn't be that incredible.) I ordered some buffalo chicken kickers with my pizza once and they came with blue cheese sauce. I figured I would try it and it was great on the chicken, but it was even better on the pizza. So next time your eating pizza, bust out a bottle of the good stuff, blue cheese dressing......and I suppose a beer would be good too. Well, that's it for this week, unless I feel up to updating on Thursday. I really should wash some of my dishes, they've been piled up on my dresser for about 2 weeks now. Oh well, as I've said for two weeks, "Maybe tomorrow." |

Wow, I think I start almost all of my ramblings with that word. That was some Packer game on Monday Night Football. The defense finally got some turnovers, and they even capitalized instantly on 2 of them. Davenport looked good as well. Unfortunately, the defense gave up nearly 500 yards through the air, but theRams running game was stuffed. I know it was since I played Faulk this week, and had Rudi Johnson on my bench. Quick stat comparison: Faulk 7 carries, 1 yard. Johnson 20 some odd carries, 202 yards. I think I made a mistake. I had a welcome suprise this morning, my computer crashed, and I lost evertything. Fortunately, I don't do anything of real importance on it. The only real loss is my collection of 1800 songs, that I can recover from cd's..it will just take some time. I guess I also lost my internet favorites, but I will get over it. I was rather pissed at the time, but luckily it happened today when I still had time to fix it. Any day later this week, and I would have struggled to find time to restore. On Friday we need to test our prototype grill for my mechanical system's design class. Gonna go outside and grill up some brats and drink some beer to make sure it works. Tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. I would just like to alert everyone to keep an eye on CMT and GAC for Paul Brandt's remake of the classic song "Convoy". Great stuff there. I actually thought it might help the Packers against the Rams that Green was out. He has never had success against them, and he has great success against the Eagles. Well, the Pack plays the Eagles next week, and they need a healthy Green. Thanksgiving was fun. I ate too much and my table of nine drank too much wine, but it was great. Wine bottles were used as props for disturbing pictures. Additionally, the fart machine worked wonders under the main table and in the bathroom the whole day. Many people wondered who had the problem, another fun point. On Saturday night we went out to eat for my sister's birthday, I had a 24 ounce prime rib and two large plates of salad. I didn't really want a second plate of salad, but it was free with the meat, so I ate that and figured I could take the meat home. The only problem with that plan is I was hungry enough to eat the rest of the rib too so I finished it off. Good times. Oh yeah, I was also impressed by the performance of Peyton Manning on Thanksgiving. I may be biased since I have Manning on my fantasy team, but he is playing great. Did I mention he is on my fantasy team? So in closing, Manning is on my fantasy team and he is not on yours so that must suck for you. On my way back to P-ville on Sunday, I heard a great song on the Sunday Classic Country radio show. Here are the words to "I Like Beer" by Tom T. Hall In some of my songs I have casually mentioned The fact that I like to drink beer This little song is more to the point Roll out the barrel and lend me your ears (chorus) I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow) Whiskey’s too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I like beer (he likes beer) My wife often frowns when we’re out on the town And I’m wearing a suit and a tie She’s sipping vermouth and she thinks I’m uncouth When I yell as the waiter goes by (chorus) Last night I dreamed that I passed from the scene And I went to a place so sublime Aw, the water was clear and tasted like beer Then they turned it all into wine (awww) I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow) Whiskey’s too rough, champagne costs too much, and vodka puts my mouth in gear Aw, this little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I love beer (yes, he likes beer) |

Figured I had better update tonight since I don't know when I will next get a chance. Any of you who have the opportunity that have not yet done so, go read my top 20 song critiques on the Pro-Pick 'em main page. That is some of my best recent work. As a bonus, it was fun too. Well, I am in cruise control from now through next Monday. The brain is officially shut down as of 9:00 tonight. Well, I suppose I can't go on without expressing my thoughts over the Pistons and Pacers brawl/riot. Here goes nothing. Obviously, the drunken idiot fans were wrong to thrown beer/food/other at Artest and the other sporting event participants. However, despite the fact that he was provoked, Artest had no excuse to enter the fan area. That action crossed the big line that kept fans and players apart in all sports for as long as there have been spectater sports in this country. Artest was rightfully upset, and I know he is a headcase to begin with, but he had other options. He could have thrown things back at the fans, swore/yelled at the fans, or even threatened to kill the fans in the parking lot after the game, but entering the stands is not in that list. Personally, I think Jermaine O'Neal got an unfair suspension. Yes he did reapeatedly assault fans, but he did it on the court. O'Neal belonged on the court, the fan didn't, so if he wanted to deck him, so be it. Stephen Jackson is the guy that got off easy. Granted he was not the first to enter the seats, he connected with the first punch, and he did not have a defendable reason to be there other than his teammate was there first. That's a pretty weak defense. So now you all know where I stand on that issue. Any questions or comments, you can send to: kissmyass@usuck.com. Well, I wanna watch football and shut my brain off, so later. |

Wow, it took me a whole week to get back to make an update. Can't say that I am shocked as I had a few projects to work on this week, not to mention 3 exams today alone. I ordered two x-large pizzas from Domino's on Tuesday night for 2x Tuesdays. Here it is Thursday night, and I still have breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. That was one heck of a pile of pizza. ?????????????????Hey 112, haven't watched that movie yet. Took a test in Dynamical Systems yesterday morning. We had 52 minutes. I finished the exam, working all problems twice......in 8 minutes....and I was not the first one done. Far from it actually. I was shocked to say the least. Too easy for a college class. "I'd lay pipe in that basement." Perhaps the best line I have ever heard. Who said it you ask? None other than the infamous Jeremy Scheerer, my freshman year roommate. Perhaps the funniest moment of my life revolved around this line, and nobody knows it but me. What's even funnier is that 3/4 of the people that actually read what I write were there when it happened. I'll just leave it at that. It is sad that I can no longer make it past halftime of Monday Night Football. I am so damn tired about halfway through the 2nd quarter that I go to bed and fall asleep during halftime. At least I am spared from watching the horrible ABC halftime show, so it is not all bad. Oh and those of you complaining about my top 20 songs, you need to consider throwing some other classics in the top 20. I basically disqualified any song less than 5 years old as it may just be a passing fancy. Tony can confirm that "Coward of the County" by Kenny Rogers is definitely in the top 20. Especially cranked way up with me singing along. Well, it sounded much better with me singing the louder it got. "Hey Bobby!" I still can't believe you did that. Hey Ty, tell me more about this three legged dog of Thorn's. He told me, but I want a different perspective. First I'd heard of it. Well, I guess that's enough for this week. I don't know if I will update next week with the holiday and all. If its not there on Wednesday morning, you'll have to wait for your weekly fix of my great writing until the following week. I'm out from P-ville. |

If anyone is interested, I finally updated something on my top songs page. Song #2 now has a description. Feel free to comment. I finally did it tonight too. No, not that it....get your mind out of the gutter. I ordered pizza. And breadsticks. And spicy chicken strips. And......that's it. I was on a roll there for a minute. I'm still staring at my homework thinking I should do it, but the odds are not in my favor. Or maybe they are, since I really don't want to work on it. As a heads up, Darryl Worley has a new cd with a song titled "I Love Her, She Hates Me, and I Drink". Great song, and it even mentions a game between the Cowboys and Packers. Gotta love that. Hey, that was a good song too. Performed by Neal McCoy. Thanksgiving is just two short weeks away. I, for one, am looking forward to the holiday. Reason number one, of course, is the obvious lack of classes for a four day weekend. Gotta love that. Reason number two, Thanksgiving kicks ass. What other holiday revolves around eating too much? Additionally, I look forward to what has become the annual tradition of the Theisen Family football game. Starting shortly after dinner, we gather up around 15 people and go outside to play football. Using a creative L-shaped field, passes can go over the corner of the house. Often, touchdown passer and receiver cannot even see one another, but the play is still made. Now that is football. Wow, three updates this week. I really outdid myself. Unfortunately, all it means is that I have not done anything usful this week. How is that different from other weeks, you ask? Well, honestly, it isn't. . |

Well, what can I say, I can either do homework or type some information in here. So you all know there will be no update tonight. Aw, heck with it. I'm not even going to try to fake it. Me. Homework. Not due for 5 days. I can't find a way to put those last three phrasess in a sentence that is believeable, well at least without adding a "not" in there somewhere. There is a lot of good stuff on TV tonight. I plan to watch the Bucks at 7, but I could also watch the other NBA game on ESPN, Pure Country on CMT, South Park on Comedy Central, or I Know What You Did Last Summer on AMC. Decisions, decisions. I mean Pure Country is possibly the best movie starring George Strait. What's that? You mean it is the only movie? I guess I was right then. On another note, I Know What You did Last Summer is a quality movie both in terms of story/action and visual "excitment". No further comments in that area. Hey 112, "Bump and run" as you call it, is effective at stopping the slant, but watch out for the deep bomb. I'd keep at least one, if not two deep safeties. Is this too metaphorical, or is it just me? By the way, I have no idea what it means. I am running out of food here. All I have left is mac&cheese. On a totally unrelated note, if someone ever says to you that they "have butterflies" in their stomach, say, "I told you to stop eating those caterpillars." Now how bad is that joke? Well, I gotta go watch the Bucks. I may add more tonight or tomorrow as time allows. If time allows, I still have to put forth the effort, so I wouldn't count on it. Who's up for some sleep? I raise my hand. OK Jon, go to bed and watch TV. Will do. |

Well, I lied. I didn't update over the weekend, I didn't watch 10 hours of football, and I didn't watch the season premier of The Simpsons. Instead, I went home on Saturday night. On the plus side, I cough like I am hacking up a lung every five minutes of every day for the last week. How is that on the plus side you ask? Well I said "like" I am coughing up a lung....so they are at least remaining in my chest...for now. I am watching the CMA Awards on CBS right now. Amazingly, Keith Urban won male vocalist of the year. I didn't even expect him to be nominated. Oh yeah, I also lied about one more thing. I didn't order pizza the last time I updated, but I did Saturday afternoon. Andy and I polished off an XL from Pizza Hut. That's a fairly large pizza. It was gone in 15 minutes. I would like to see any two of you attempt that feat. Wow, is the NFL a level playing field or what? 4 weeks ago, the Packers were 1-4 and left for dead by many. After 3 straight wins, the Packers will be playing for first place in the NFC North on Sunday when they face the Vikings. The Packers, the sole team to ever win the NFC North, are on a good run, while the Vikings are spiraling into their annual collapse beginning with their annual loss to the Giants. I could go on, but I won't bore you with an in-depth 40 page analysis of my thoughts of all things related to the NFL. I can't think of any more to add right now, so I will step aside and try to regroup for an update tomorrow night. Until then, I hope my lungs stay in. |

Well, it's been a while, but I think I can remeber how to do this. Since I last updated, the Red Sox have won the World Series, and I spent 2 hours and 45 minutes waiting in line to vote. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Today I had a group meeting for a project, and we actually accomplished something. I wasn't sure what happened as it was such a rare occurrance, but in only 1 hour we had a conceptual design. It was a slightly more productive endeavor than the meeting yesterday where we met for 3 hours and got nowhere. I got my World Civilization II exam #2 back today....suprisingly, I did better than the last one, but since someone got 100%, there was no curve. I can't complain though, I got 81.5% and totally bombed the first fifth of the test. I got 6 out of 18 and that was generous. Well, on Saturday I head west to Dyersville for the annual National Farm Toy Show. If any of you have any interest in this hobby, I suggest you go to this show at least once in your life. It is a sight to see. I think I will order pizza for the first time in a month and a half tonight. I'm hungry and am low on food, so I think that is the perfect solution. If I order enough, I have breakfast and luch tomorrow too. Now that's using the brain of an engineer. I got my schedule made up for the spring semester. Like I said last week, I am going to take "Intro to Women's Studies", but I am also taking "Music Making in Ethnic Communities of the U.S.." This class, I have been told, "involves a 40 minutes conversation with uncle John, whose head is so filled with bong residue that he has no idea what's going on." Apparently, there is no learning whatsoever. Sounds like my kind of class. I'm glad I didn't give in and just take Music Appreciation since I don't appreciate that type of music. ?Anyone who ever questioned my dislike of Wal-Mart should have no more questions after watching the latest episode of South Park last night. It showed my feelings perfectly. I have 2 weeks worth of dirty dishes sitting on my dresser behind me. I know I really should wash them, but what is my motivation? The one container has been sitting there for 10 days and still is half full of macaroni and cheese that didn't turn out too well. Maybe if I had used milk instead of water or the correct amount it would have been better, but I was hungry so I improvised........unsuccessfully. But at least my vanilla pudding made with chocolate milk was good. PB & J sandwiches are always a go too. I just wish we could have a hotplate, so I could fry up some burgers every once in a while. Reflecting on it, maybe it's better I can't cook in the room or I'd eat too much as whatever I cook is too good to stop eating. In case your wondering, I am being serious there. I really can cook pretty well, I'm just too cheap to buy quality food to cook. Damn, I want it to be Thanksgiving break now. I need a few days off again. Well, I guess I've written enough for this week. Check back on Monday-ish as I will probably update again over the weekend as I will be bored out of my skull except while watching 10 hours of football on Sunday as well as the season premier of The Simpsons on Fox. |

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Well, tonight is game 4. Ironically, there is supposed to be a lunar eclipse visible from the stadium in St. Louis tonight during the game. Signs of the apocalypse: 1. Red Sox win World Series 2. Lunar Eclipse 3. Gretchen Wilson sings national anthem at World Series game. So I guess we're all set then. Go Sox! I did nothing today. It was everything I hoped it to be. Home run Johnny Damon. New episode of South Park tonight. Better be good, I may even switch off the baseball game for it. I made up my schedule for next semester today. It involves 16 credits, but the good news is that if I take these classes, I will only need to take 12 credits the next semester in order to graduate. Gonna take "Intro to Womens Studies" next semester. Then I can set all of those liberal ultra-feminists straight;) Could be interesting. |

Well, I am trying out a new format for my Ramblings page. The old way always led to too many formating issues and I don't want to deal with it. We'll see how this works, but I may be making further adjustments. By the way, look for another update later this week as well. I have very little going on this week, so I run two a week forthis week and future weeks when I feel like it. I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Wow. That one word describes it perfectly. Wow. After the first 5 weeks of the NFL season I never expected the Packers to turn it around and be able to score at will against teams. Even more suprisingly, the Miami Dolphins actually won. Not only did they win, they won big against a good St. Louis Rams team. Perhaps all it took was my suggestion that Tim Couch would be an improvement. With a couple of touchdown passes to his own team on Sunday, Jay Fiedler actually has more touchdown passes to his own team than to the opposition. Now that is progress. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????Red Sox up 2-0 on the Cards. I don't know about anyone else, but with the Red Sox in position to win their first title since WWI, a whole "END OF THE WORLD" feel seems to surround the game. I guess I wouldn't worry to much though, knowing the Red Sox, they will follow the greatest comeback in baseball history with the greatest collapse in baseball history. If they keep making 4 errors in each game, they won't be celebrating come Sunday night. One thing in the news is rather unsettling for me. The whole rabies deal. I never knew that rabies was fatal if left untreated until symptoms appeared. I thought it was a catch it before your dead and it can be fixed with shots. This is information we need. Quick Quiz: What country song contains the phrase "Cajun sausage on a hot dog bun"? Give up......Answer at the end of the section. http://www.holdthebutton.com/ Go here and see if you can break my best. It is the top score on their leaderboard.;) What I wouldn't give to be about 16 years old again. Life was so much easier. Wait you might say, that was only 5 years ago. What could have changed that much? Well to be honest, I have no clue. It is rather strange though that growing up, you always want to be older than you are. First you want to be 16, then 18, and finally 21, but when you get past them, you can't help but want to go back. I don't know how many of you are familiar wiht Kenny Chesney's song "A Lot of Things Different" but in this song he sings about wanting to go back and do many big events in his life over again. I wouldn't want to do that, but I would bet there was at least one or two things I would do differently if I had a second chance. I can't really think of any good examples now, so my point is sort of lost, but I am sure there are some good ones out there. Well, I guess I am out of ideas to write about for tonight. I actually fell asleep here at my desk trying to come up with something else to write. By the way, it is only 7:30. Monday Night Football didn't even start yet for crying out loud. I think I need some sugar packets..........and maybe some beer would help as well:)??????????? Maybe I'll update again 2 or 3 times this week....whenever I think of something worthwhile........or pointless. The answer to the Quick Quiz is, of course, "Tennessee River Run" by Darryl Worley. |
