1. Trick Pony - Ain't Wastin' Good Whiskey on You What an insult that your ex doesn't even think your memory is worth drinking away. 2. Tim McGraw - Do You Want Fries With That Tony, you like this song since it is good practice for the field you will be in after 5 years. Wait, that would be more accurate if I replace Tony with Hal, wouldn't it? 3. Keni Thomas - Gloryland This song is good mainly because it features Blackhawk. 4. Deryl Dodd - Love or Something Like It This is a cover of the Kenny Rogers classic. The singing is poor, and I don't really care for the revamped music, but the song itself is so good I can look past all that. 5. Rascal Flatts - Skin This is a song about a teenage girl that has cancer and lost her hair due to chemotherapy. Her date to the prom shaved his head as a surprise for her the night of the prom. 6. Shooter Jennings - Fourth of July A good song by Waylon's son. He also did a great job on "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" on CMT's 100 Greatest Duets the other night. 7. Tracy Lawrence - Used To The Pain I can't think anymore. 8. Kenny Rogers - Love Will Turn You Around I heard this song on my way back to school Sunday night and it just stuck in my head. 9. Restless Heart - The Bluest Eyes in Texas I heard this song on Sunday night as well and it is great because it was written by Blackhawk and it will soon be recorded by Blackhawk. 10. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood - Squeeze Me In I actually hate this song, but I need it here to make a point. CMT ranked this as the 47th best duet, ahead of such actually good duets like: "Luckenbach, Texas" (50), "If You See Him/If You See Her" (49) and more that I can't think of right now. Made the whole countdown lose credibility to me. |
