2003 Calendar: A very big thank you to Mandy Hartman for organizing Brookview’s reflection submissions on Signs of Courage. A wonderful punch and cookie reception was held at Pauline Evans Public Library to view all of the entries from West Irondequoit. Congratulations to the two students, who won a ribbon in the visual arts category. Both entries are moving on to the regional competition. One entry was a poster of courageous women and the other was a U.S. flag.

We wish you happy holidays!

Dress Warm for Winter

Remember to dress your child warmly for school during the winter months.  Layers are best.  Don’t forget boots, hats, mittens, and scarves.  Children line up outdoors before and after school daily as well as play outdoors during lunchtime recess.  Be sure to label your child’s name in their clothing.

Lockers at the New School

Students will be placing their coats, boots and backpacks in a locker in our new school. Please be aware that the locker space is 10” x 10”. Your child’s backpack must be able to fit into that space.

Please remember to call our school office whenever your child will be absent or tardy.  Our voice mail service is available 24 hours a day.  Also, be sure to follow up your child's absence with a written excuse.  Thank you.

Box Tops for Education

Mrs. Ruiz reminds us that while the official collection period runs from September to March, we will continue to accept General Mills Box Tops for Education all year long.  Thank you for sending them in.
