Yvon Rodrigue was born around 1957 and became a member of the Hells Angels Sherbrooke Chapter probably in the late 1980s or early 1990s. His two brothers, Pierre and Guy, are also members of the group. The brothers has already been described in the media as being "influential" members of Canada's largest Hells chapter. The family seems to be very low profile and has very rarely been mentioned in the papers. Yvon Rodrigue was one of the three people arrested in the Estrie |
area on March 28, 2001, the result of Opération: Printemps 2001, a police investigation resulting in over 100 Hells Angels and associates being charged. The other two were René Bibeau, described as a sympathizer, and Sylvain Gilbert, a member of the Evil Ones. Rodrigue was arrested at his Rock Forest home and charged with drug trafficking, conspiracy to traffic in drugs, and gangsterism. On October 12, 2001, Rodrigue, two other Hells Angels, and six associates pleaded guilty to charges of drug trafficking, stemming from the Opération: Printemps 2001 bust. Rodrigue was sentenced to four years in prison and police seized his 1994 Plymouth Voyager. Sylvain "Pit" Chalifoux, a member of the Hells Montreal Chapter, was also sentenced to four years, while Bertrand Joyal, a member of the South Chapter, got six years. René Bibeau was sentenced to seven and a half year; Claude Joanette got 42 months; Richard Codner received 40 months; Yvan Sainte-Croix got 30 months; Steve Martel received 21 months; and Richard Musselle was sentenced to two years less a day. |
