Indonesia is a country with many islands, about 13.667 in all—You may choose one of them to stay at if you want to! But I choose Java, because I am here and using a little JavaScript to build my home in page, hehe ... just kidding though~—with many people too, more than 200,000,000 people. Don't you think it has the most numerous islands in the world?
In Jakarta, the capital city, with more than 10,000,000 people, it's hard to believe that all shouldn't stretch their hands to long that they could disturb other people around ... just kidding again~ Traffic jam is so very common, but don't worry, for there are toll roads, which have only a little jam.
Indonesia numbered five in population quantity in the world. Actually, we have fertile land, but maybe because of that most of Indonesian people become rather slow and not so productive. It might be that this is a blessing or a curse. It reminds me of a nation that most of it's people are with high intelligence. Have you heard about Israel? A blessing of Abraham is upon them. And for us who have believed in Christ should also have Abraham's blessing too, but sometimes, our intentions, our thinking, our deeds become a curse, for getting astray from God's will. But luckily we can be set free from the curse because Christ has taken it 2000 years ago on the cross, to be a curse for us. We are to believe in Him, and His redemption and forgiveness of sin flow to us.
Therefore, maybe because Indonesian in global hasn't blessed Israel yet, then the blessing hasn't come. But it will be in a near future.
My country has just been stricken by the great increase of US Dollar's rate (now 3-4 times, before it even reached 7 times). For being a developing country so it's still weak, but praise the Lord that there are many Christians praying for Indonesia and the number of believers in Christ increases. Though Indonesia is a biggest Moslem country in quantity, we are sure that Christianity will increase unprecedentedly, as prophesied by many servants of God.
When the economic crisis began in July 1997, the riots and turmoil broke out too. The most wicked turmoil is on May 14th, 1998 (I wasn't at home that time, because the way to home was blocked when I was returning from work, but thanks God I was saved, another life experience. Anyway, WOW! GOD IS GOOD! ALL THE TIME! Let's sing the song together, OK! Sorry if the comment is too long ~~~), the jungle law was practiced at that time, sounds like racial attacks. Since, the more church buildings were destroyed.
Some ministers said that Indonesia is the most WELL-DONE Christian country in the world. Do you know why? Because more than 400 churches were burned up to now, all of them were as black as coal, very WELL-DONE. Now, thank God that He has changed the CRISIS to be CHRISTMAS for the believers and Christ, and that's why I could wish you HAPPY NEW YEAR 2000 for a VICTORIOUS YEAR.
