Craft Name

Many people that enter the Craft choose to rename themselves. A lot of people do it to make a "new-self" someone that they might not normally be.
Some solitary witches prefer to use their given name (I can't tell you what the rules and regs are about Craft names if you are in a coven or thinking about joining one because I'm a solitary Witch). There is no right or wrong in having a Craft name it is purely down to the individual.
Some people believe that your Craft name should match you Birth Number. The reason for this is because you Birth Number is unchanging. People can change their names, addresses etc., but they cannot cahnge their date of birth.
By choosing a name that matches your Birth Number, you are aligning yourself with that same vibration; the vibration of the moment that you chose to be born.
To do this:
First, find your Birth Number by adding the digits of your date of birth.
(Example:) If you were born June 23rd 1956, your number would be 6+2+3+1+9+5+6 = 32
Bring that down to a single digit: 3+2 = 5
Then your Birth Number is Five.

You will be using this chart:

You then think of a name and find the letter on the chart and write down the corrosponding number. Add all the numbers you have written down and add those up and keep adding up until you a have a single digit if it corrosponds with you Birth Number then you can that name.
(Example:) If you Birth Number was 2 and you liked the the name Diana.
Then the digits for Diana would be 4+9+1+5+1 = 20 --> 2+0 = 2. So you could use Diana as you Craft name.
