Silent Auction...Shhhh

Our 3rd 'silent auction' was truly special, and really unique ~ donated by Griffon lover and our Patron, Mr Martyn Cook. (Martyn Cook Antiques - Woollahra, Sydney) The history of this old piece makes it extra special in that it belonged to our breed's Icon, the late Mrs Mollie Elsie Grocott, of Moerangi Griffons New Zealand. It comes to us via Mollie's daughter Janey and her friend William Petley, giving our auction piece unrepeatable provenance.

The winner of the Mollie Grocott Griffon figurine is Michelle Parker-Brien of 'Balliol Griffon's'. Congratulations Michelle! Many thanks to all Griffon lovers who placed a bid, this money will go towards the Griffon Bruxellois Club NSW Inc.

Our 2nd "Silent Auction" arranged and donated by Bridget Power, Quilted Griffon wall hanging. "Griffons in the pond",  16 inches long & 13 1/2 inches wide.  The detail is unbelievable - the photo does not show the intricate detail that the human eye can see.   This was made by Lorraine Parker and if you wish to have a look at her other pieces of work here is Lorraine's web address; www.creativetextiles.com.au

Our first "Silent Auction" was a figurine hand made and donated by Lee Pieterse. Shane Thomas, "Sibermoon Griffons" far north Queensland, was the 'winner' of the Auction - with a cleverly placed, and last minute jump up bid ~~~thankyou to all who placed bids~~~~
