IN THE PINK
(WET/MOIST MIX)


This is a moist mix, and these following guidelines must be used for all the moist pot pourri mixes on these pages.

Dry 1 and a half litres of mixed rose and pink petals on newspaper or cheesecloth for 2-3 days. Layer them with salt (375ml) in a jar and seal the lid. Stir every day for ten days. After this, stir in 3 tablespoons of each of the following:
dried lime peel
dried dill
followed by:
1 tablespoon cloves
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons gum benzoin
4 drops rose oil
4 drops carnation oil

store for 6-8 weeks, shaking every day.
