QUICK GINGER ALE INGREDIENTS: one 3-inch piece of ginger root, grated 600 ml boiling water (1 pint) 15 ml honey (1 tablespoon) fizzy water Place the boiling water in a pan, add the ginger root and simmer on a gentle heat for 20 minutes, covered to preserve the moisture. Add the honey and stir until dissolved. Continue simmering, stirring continuously, for a further 10 minutes. Strain the mixture and store in the refrigerator. Add mineral water or fizzy carbonated water directly before drinking to taste. |
