I turn around, See the world, All angered, All violence, Everywhere. So many gone, So many lost, For some biblical war, Some ancient challenge. The cries of those who died Still ring fresh in my mind. I hear their ceaseless wails of pain, Echoing too close… I fear of what will happen now, Of what the world will do. Will violence win the hearts of all? Will hatred reek throughout the land? The smell of war is dangerously close, The fear is now reducing, And now, Now no one is safe. |
