After spending such a long time without stopping to think much, a day off from doing much of anything can be as healing as any medicine.

Just as amazing is how well a day off from everything can heal a person, spiritualy, too.

I spent alot of this past week going to do things at almost a nonstop rate, and not resting much at all. So when God pretty much opens up a day with no real plans, I take it as His sign for me to not make any plans and to just catch up on rest.

And it certainly works.

Something I've noticed more and more often lately is how God can inspire joy almost out of nowhere, no matter what time of day it is, or where you are.

I say this because I've noticed at times, when I'll simply be praying or thinking about God, and suddenly I cannot be in a negative frame of mind. Everything is beautiful, and nothing is sad.

It is one of the many things I've noticed that God can do that defies logic, but then, how much use is logic anyway?

One thing that is truly amazing is how God will bring people into your life just when you need the type of support that only that particular person can supply. I talked to a friend of mine and set up plans with them, having not seen them for nearly three months, for any extended period of time. The spirituality of this friend amazes me constantly, and how they strive for God is how I long to strive for God. To spend an hour with this friend is to walk away spiritually refreshed, many times.

To say that the timing of this is great is an understatement. Like I said, the way that God brings people into our lives just in time is astounding. But I suppose that really, it's just in HIS time.

How ready and willing are we to accept that all things in our lives happen in God's time and not ours? Only sometimes do things we want and things He wants happen in unison, but are we openly ready to accept that?
