Lately, I have been mulling over the idea of signs from God.
I mean, alot of us pray so hard that God would give us signs and make clear the path that we are supposed to take, and yet, when we are shown the path, we question whether or not it's a sign from God, or rather just a chance occurance of happenings.
Technically, as I've previously said, I am no longer a student at my college. Due to financial woes and mix-ups, I have had my classes dropped for me, and now , with one exception, the classes I was in have been filled.
Now, I have been praying for a sign as to whether or not I should stay at the college I am currently at, or transfer to one that I have been giving consideration.
On top of this current ordeal, I have been receving mail from the college, more than once, and I have been hearing from various people that either attend or have attended the college I am considering, and have even heard a story or two about how God helped people make it through their entire time at that college without having to foot any of the bill.
Prior to this, I had heard little to nothing about this college.
I have said before that I do not believe in coincidences, and that what we play off as chance is probably God trying to show us something.
I talked for a good long while last night to a friend at work, with whom I have seen become a pretty good friend and an excellent accountability partner.
We usually talk about our spirituality at great length, and last night was not an exception.
We talked about a range of things, from the topic of sainthood (in the biblical sense), to even discussing our co-workers and their faith.
I am constantly astounded by the people God places in my path, and this friend is among the most amazing I've met. They are learning from God at a very constant rate, and they are becoming quite spiritually mature, and to bear witness to this only helps me to see where I should grow in my faith, and in fact helps me therein to actually do it.
If we were constantly surrounded by peers that were also followers with complete faith, would we have any reason to call it faith? If everyone believes it and it is a proven point, is it belief or faith?
