Today was somewhat of a bittersweet day. An amazing day of realizing where God has been bringing me these past few days and weeks, and even months, and also a week of change and temporary goodbyes with close friends.
For the first time in nearly a two months, I went to church, and I was on time!
It was the most...different service I've ever attended at my church, as our minster of music was the speaking minister today, due to the fact that both our head and associate pastor were not present. This resulted in a very musical service, and a somewhat loud, conservative, but nonetheless interesting sermon by the minister of music.
Following that, I watched the movie for who's sequel I would be seeing for the second time that afternoon. Movies are always an amazing thing, and I truly thank God that there is such a thing as film. I'm not just saying that. I really DO thank God for cinema.
I then met up with friends to see the aformentioned movie. Great movie, and overall, much better company. I got to see a friend of mine that had been out of the country for a month, so it was great to get to see them again for the first time in a while, and a very joyous time to be had by all of us.
Following this, three of the group (including myself) went back to my house to watch yet ANOTHER movie. After more fun and a hilarious favorite movie of mine, the night seemed to be winding down. Seemed to be.
After the final movie, my recently returned to the US friend left to continue catching up on the sleep he had been missing. The other friend and I, however, continued a very deep conversation about many things, mostly concerning spirituality and following what God had for us.
This is where this journal comes back to being about God.
The conversation brought a great many things to my thoughts, ranging from the humourous thoughts in spirituality to the very complex questions I've been asking lately about my life and what God has for me.
Following this was a long goodbye between friends, in that this friend was going to be leaving town for a week to attend a sibling's wedding.
Also, as of this point, quiet times have been continuing very normally, and God is showing me some amazing things and answering alot of my questions on a daily basis. He sure is amazing.
