So today was sort of an out-of-the ordinary day, in terms of the way summer has been going this year.
I went in to work today for lunch shift, and immediately after arriving, had to go get one of the tanks for our soda machine refilled with carbon dioxide. After getting back, we realized that one of our employees was out of town, and their shift for that night wasn't covered. That being said, it was determined that I was the best person for the job, so I went home after one hour of work, to come back that night to do some work.
In the time between work, I met with my friend at the studio that we're kind of all working on to get finished up, and I brought him a bit of construction materials, and we hung out for a bit, just talking and looking back on that time, I'm amazed at how much God can change a person's humility and personality if the person lets God work. It was a very pleasant conversation and we had a great time hanging out and messing around with fixing up the studio.
After that, I went back to work for the second shift, and talked a great deal with my good friend I was working with that night. We surprisingly had to stay open until our actual closing time, which is particularly odd in the summer.
Everday, God is showing me more than ever (something I have realized as of late is that God shows you more every single time you're ready for it) how amazing His love and mercy is, particularly in this latest part of my walk with Him. I've come to realize that not everything I want will come to pass, and with that, I can't say that I willingly accept that immediately, but God always puts my heart at ease with it eventually. He certainly is amazing.
