I plan on taking a last-minute road trip tomorrow, and going to see some friends that live about an hour and a half out of town. I hope that it will give me an opportunity to escape from the norm, for at least part of a day, and that God will show me something, anything, while i'm escaping.
In just going out and doing things today, I saw an absolutely beautiful day. It's as if God had made today, with it's beautiful sunshine and excellent weather, just for the day I start getting things back in order in my life, with Him.
Today I decided that part of keeping a good relationship with God is being a responsible adult, and that a lazy set of habits can sometimes lead to a lazy relationship with God. That being noted, I spent today going and getting things back in order, cashing and depositing a paycheck to pay bills, getting some bills paid off, and laughable enough, I took a book back to the library and paid the overdue fees on it. I feel that getting that weight off my chest opened up time to spend with God.
Another short entry, but I feel that God is starting to emphasize things in larger ways to me, if perhaps not as many ways in number. I could easily stand corrected hours from now, and have, before.
Is there anything on this planet to tell us that God intends every single one of us to work the traditional 9 to 5 job? Or have the traditional 2.5 children? Is there anything that tells us that God is anything traditional?
